Workshop - to be held Wednesday 20th at Copenhagen Business School
State-of-the-art language technology already has a broad range of applications. Although successful in many ways, progress appears to be hindered by methodological rather than technological constraints. We welcome radical, research based, novel methods with application in speech technology. For example we envision exploiting multi-modality, the connection between speech and hearing science and other combinations of already existing knowledge/applications. Other ideas could be, but are not limited to, compensatory applications (equivalent to hearing aids) and more flexible application of language models in speech recognition.
The aim of the workshop is to arrive at a Speech Technology Wish List.
