At a ceremony held at DADES HUSET in Lyngby on November 25, 2016, I received a grant from Aase og Ejnar Danielsens Fond in support of a research project entitled “Indebtedness, Deleveraging and Macroeconomic Stability”.
This project seeks to address the relationship between, on the one hand, private and public balance sheets, and macroeconomic stability, on the other.
Given the leveraging trend observed until the onset of the 2008 global financial crisis, the project will also explore the potential of deleveraging policies.
Basically, the aim is to study how such policies can be implemented without causing too much macroeconomic distress. The project is integrated with a broader PhD project conducted by Filipe Vieira.
I'm very grateful to Aase og Ejnar Danielsens Fond and I look forward to carry out the research project together with Filipe and other members of my team.
